Main Tasks:
Improvement Processes
- Active promotion of, and commitment to safety awareness, company policies and company values.
- Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of HIIS.
- Communicate and provide feedback to vessels on HSEQ related matters including writing circular- and safety letters
- Monitor new and impending rules/requirements that will affect the fleet and ensure relevant initiatives are taken for compliance in close cooperation with relevant functions within Fleet Management.
Environmental Compliance
- Verify that assigned environmental procedures and documents in the management system and records are in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards.
- Monitor changes in environmental rules and regulations and keep the fleet overview in respect of compliance.
- Garbage management monitoring and follow-up.
- Responsible for following up / updating IHM records towards external vendor.
- Responsible for compliance and update of Ballast Water Management Plans, Seal Chart logs, Garbage management plans and Biofouling Management plans.
Risk Management
- Responsible for performing regular review of Risk Assessment library and vessel follow-up. Facilitate Risk Assessments on shore as needed.
- Responsible for Permit to Work scope and documentation.
Document Control
- Responsibility for keeping Office Contingency Manuals up to date.
- Monitor the document revision progress, perform quality control of document consistency, use of approved templates, correct metadata, etc.
- Back-up function for Document Controller.
BASS Software and process
- Knowledgeable and experienced in BASSnet
- BASSnet Remote Training server administration
Training
- Provide training in Risk Assessment and Management of Change
- Provide training in Bassnet and HIIS-processes to shore and vessel personnel
- Carry out HSEQ introduction to relevant crew and officers prior to on signin
- Participate in preparations for / attend Officer’s Conferences
- Participate and provide support from HSEQ department in projects, campaigns, and tenders
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
- Maritime qualifications and preferably seagoing experience on LNG / FSRU vessels
- Experience working with Safety Management Systems for a minimum of 2-3 years, preferably in a Ship management company.
- Knowledge of maritime regulatory regime (IMO, Class, Flag), and HSE-requirements specified by Oil & Gas Companies (OCIMF).
- Good understanding of the shipboard processes, Safety Management Systems and HSEQ improvement processes
