Höegh LNG is seeking a Performance Engineer

The candidate will be part of the Maintenance and Performance Optimization team in our Operations division, following up the performance of the FSRU and LNGC fleet. The role will be vital to improve our operations through operational excellence and to lower our environmental footprint through use of digital tools. This involves having an active role in establishing data driven insights into the fleet’s operations, with the objective to enhance performance and ensure compliance.

Qualifications / Profile:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical study
• Knowledge of LNG and gas processes incl thermodynamics is a clear benefit
• Knowledge of or interest in ships, shipping, and challenges related to decarbonization
• Knowledge of or interest in data management, business intelligence systems, digitalization, and improvement of live data transfer solutions

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Monitoring and follow up FSRU and LNGC performance and performance data
• Provide guidance and expert support to shipboard operators and onshore personnel, particularly for achieving best possible energy efficiency
• Support the onshore organization and onboard crew to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and external requirements
• Establish and maintain reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and improve performance KPIs, actionable data and calculation models for performance and sustainability
• Participate and manage improvement projects related to performance and digital data management
