Höegh LNG is seeking an Electrical & Automation Superintendent. The Electrical and Automation Superintendent reports to the Head of Technical Management.
Job Description
Oversee the management of electrical systems, control systems, automation, navigation, and communication systems on board the fleet of LNGc and FSRU's.
- Ensure the vessels’ automation, electrical, control systems, navigation.
and communication systems comply with regulations and are suitable for purpose. - Assist the fleet operation and ships’ crew.
- Assist Technical Superintendents with dry docking planning, preparation, and execution.
- Provide input to Technical Superintendent for budgeting process.
- Develop plans for improvements, upgrades, and renewal in cooperation with Technical Superintendents.
- Follow-up agreements and prepare instructions to and follow-up deliveries and activities from subcontractors.
- Review and update drawings.
- Support and enforce activities initiated to maintain ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.
- Support and enforce activities initiated to maintain and develop our safety management system with particular focus on continuous improvement.
- Active promotion and commitment to safety awareness, company policy and company values.
- Assess operational risks from a technical and operational perspective.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of HIIS.
- Participate in Officer and Crew Conferences when requested.
- Attend repair yard and vessels as electro/automation resource.
- Monitor the market and stay updated.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience as electro/automation engineer. In order to be shortlisted, the ideal candidate should have field experience.
- LNG experience is a strong advantage to be shortlisted for this role, however Oil & Gas experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of legislation, codes, and standards applicable to the maritime and offshore industry.
- Solid computer skills.
- Proficiency in English. English is our business language.
